Language Identities and Societal Transformation through Empowerment and Narratives
The LISTEN project responds to the urgent need to address the postcolonial legacies of racism, linguistic hegemony, and social exclusion faced by refugees and migrants in Europe. It highlights how language has historically been tied to ethnic identity and used as a tool of discrimination, reinforcing binaries such as majority vs. immigrant languages. Recognizing language as both a symbolic and practical resource, LISTEN frames linguistic choice as an act of agency and a means of reshaping belonging and memory within multicultural societies.
SYNAESTHETIC IDENTITIES
"SYNAESTHETIC IDENTITIES" proposes an innovative framework for understanding identity formation as a multi-sensory, multilingual, and multi-perspective process. Rooted in the metaphor of synaesthesia—the neurological phenomenon where stimulation of one sense involuntarily triggers another—this concept highlights how personal and collective identities are formed through interwoven experiences of sound, language, memory, and space. This approach moves beyond representational diversity and toward affective solidarity. It enables a deeper understanding of how social inequality is not only reproduced cognitively or structurally but also sensually—through what is heard, seen, and felt in everyday interactions.

Through essays and reflections, he explores cultural resilience and the decolonization of cultural imprints, inviting readers to question norms and rethink belonging, resistance, and identity
